| For
more than a century, the community cafe has served western towns
as the gathering spot for families, friends, and travelers.
The sparks of business deals, romances, gossip, philosophy
& celebration often can be traced to the meeting place of
the people; the local cafe.
Our
Meeker Cafe has been fulfilling its important role for residents
and visitors since 1883. Our roof has shadowed the likes
of celebrities such as Tom Horn, Billy the Kid, Teddy and Franklin
Roosevelt, Gary Cooper, Kenneth Sanderson (a.k.a. Buddy Roosevelt,
a silent movie star in the 20's & 30's who was born and
raised in Meeker) and one can only imagine the host of nameless
characters from the past.
Come
listen to these walls whisper tales of the old west.
Here
in our beautifully restored cafe and dining room, adjacent to
the Meeker Hotel; we invite you to absorb the history and
enjoy the finest dining this high in the Colorado Flattopps.
